When it comes to a bathroom remodel there are a lot of things you can update to transform your space. Instead of tackling the whole room for a total renovation. Here are a few easy ways you can update your space.
Faucets & Fixtures
One of the simplest updates you can do to your bathroom is to update your fixtures. Updating your faucet and shower head can really give your space a face-lift. Don’t be afraid to mix metals! This is a trend that won’t be going anywhere any time soon, so be bold.
Cabinet Refacing
Your cabinetry in your bathroom is bound to need a touch-up from all the moisture. Instead of fixing chipped paint, go above and beyond, and give your cabinets some new doors by refacing them. If a cabinet refacing project isn’t in your budget, swap outdated hardware for more current knobs and pulls to give your cabinets a little added TLC.
Light Fixtures
Yet another easy update, lighting! Bathrooms and kitchens need to be well-lit areas. For the best vanity lighting, it is recommended to place your fixture 4 inches from the ceiling and 3 inches between the top of the mirror and the bottom of the fixture. Wall sconces should be placed on either side of the mirror at eye level. Chandeliers should never be placed above water features as it is not safe nor up to code. Mirrors
Have large builder grade mirrors in your bathroom? It’s time to get them out our frame them out! We can not stress this tip enough! By simply replacing that large mirror or keeping it and framing it, can really give your space a completely different look.
Fresh Coat of Paint
There is nothing that a fresh coat of paint can’t fix! Bathrooms should be a place to unwind and relax. To create your own at-home spa oasis it is best to pick a calming neutral color scheme. Probably the easiest update on this list is replacing your shower curtain, rugs, towels, and other bathroom accessories. This is your chance to experiment with color and pattern. The design options are endless so be free and doing something out of your comfort zone with your decor. It’s only temporary and can constantly be changed when your design taste changes. If you have room in your budget for a countertop replacement, we highly recommend it. Remove that cultured marble top that is original to the house and update your bathroom countertops with the most popular surface, quartz! Quartz countertops come in a variety of designs and colors and can even replicate the look of natural stone. Both beauty and strength, quartz countertops are non-porous, scratch resistant, stain resistant, and require minimal maintenance. Most countertop fabricators have remnants of different surfaces at a reduced price which make the perfect use for bathroom vanities.
