Latest Kitchen Surfaces Making Their Way To Home Design
Kitchen surfaces are evolving! If you are in the home interiors and building community you have probably heard of KBIS, but for those of you who don’t know, KBIS (the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show) is the premier kitchen and bath event of the year being North America’s largest trade show dedicated to all aspects of kitchen and bathroom design. It is our fashion week so to speak.
This year, the show was held in Las Vegas, Nevada and had 600 exhibitors and a record-breaking of 31,000 attendees. We trecked the halls of the three buildings of the Las Vegas Convention center of the show taking over 39,000 steps to bring you the latest in technology and products for the kitchen and bath world. So without further ado, here are our top favorite new surfaces from the show!
SapienStone
Starting things off with one of our favorites! SapienStone is the leading manufacturer in luxurious porcelain countertops and their lineup of surfaces just expanded! SapienStone had 5 of their newest designs on display this year at KBIS2019. Check out our exclusive tour of their booth below!
Cosentino
A leader in the surfacing industry for their many popular surfacing lines, Cosentino introduced their newest line at the show, Dekton® Slim! Dekton® Slim is an innovating new take on the popular ultra-compact surface that is now available in 4 mm slabs!
Don’t let it’s size scare you, with this new thin design, architects and designers can now use this lighter surface for more projects such as in furniture, cabinetry doors & drawers, wall cladding, and backsplash for kitchens and baths!
Like the original Dekton® surfaces, Dekton Slim has all of it’s key features making it resistant to UV rays, scratches, stain, and thermal shock!
Available in nine colors including Zenith, Nayla, Opera, Sasea, Kvik, Sirocco, Kreta, Keyla and Sirius, this surface is sure to make a statement in the kitchen and bath world!
Caesarstone
Instead of having their own booth at KBIS this year, Caesarstone did things a little differently by having their own design home! Invited guests got to tour The New American Home, a luxurious home located on the outskirts of Las Vegas for their Beyond the Surface Event!
